Hello Unique's I am excited to introduce #UTD2015 collection that I have been working on for the past months. This project is so dear to my heart because I have taken up the courage to bring out all my ideas, imaginations, inspiration, and style I appreciate to life. These collections consist of clothes and accessories (bags, head gear, earrings and necklace) design. The bag collections will have its own special line/label #UTDB2015, all hand made with love. And for those who Hello unique don’t know! UTD is an acronym for ‘Unique Trail Design’. (UTD will be on the label and the story behind this name is because of my obsession for anything unique and I also make it a must to set the trail and open new grounds for others to follow). Hello unique. I remember the day I saw this plaid in my sister’s wardrobe, I couldn't wait to try it out because it just scream style me, so I styled this outfit around the plaid. And the trick about styling a plaid piece like this is keeping it simple, because plaid is a bold print, so you should avoid overwhelming your look with too much at the same time. Pairing it with a solid black ensemble is just right, because it gives the plaid a pop. I have much love for this look because it such a stylish way to cover up in this cold raining season. Hello unique. The reality is that, to be relevant in this fast changing world, one needs to be creative, be daring, be confident about whom they are and be ready to think outside the box. I try not to allow myself to be in a label situation; were anybody can look at me and say she’s this or that. Changing things up by being unpredictable has always been important to me. As for my outfits, the few people that knew me know that I never wear my sneakers with dresses and that’s the main reason I did, in this look. (Remember! Being unpredictable). Being unpredictable and daring is more fun and exhilarating and I plan not only to incorporate these in my styling but also in my designing and other relations. Design  without looking back, own it and be confident in it. Meanwhile an entrepreneur ought not to be risk averse or risk neutral, but rather a risk lover. Hello unique. The thing I love about a loose fit dress is that it can make one feel sweet and sexy at the same time, it so unlike wearing a tight fit dress that can make you feel insecure about all the edges. Haha At  first I wanted to use a belt on it, but decided against it when I felt how the dress cling to me when I walk, and that’s the main reason I prefer a dress made from cotton. Keeping this look clean was very important to me, so I decided to style the dress with gold and cherry colour accessories with lipstick to match. Can you believe I thought the print on this dress was ‘polka dot’ only to find out the second time I wore it that it’s ‘snow flakes’ print. It just made love this outfit the more. Hello unique. Most of my Ankara ensembles are mostly for special occasions/events. And since I don’t think I can ever get tired of making or wearing Ankara print, I just try to switch things up by pairing it with my everyday wear to be able to achieve a casual look. Pairing it with this jean is such a success that I just want to start designing all kind of Ankara print blouse. Tehe. Did you notice anything different about these photos?  I and my brother decided to experiment with these photos, because we wanted to capture the simplicity of this look in an ethereal and close-up shot, and I just love how it came out, so expect more innovative pics in future. Hello unique. My take on blouse has always been the bigger the better, it’s safe to say that’s my style, because I never bought into the ideal that ‘fashion is pain’. I guess this is because fashion means different thing to different people and as much as I love trying out new things, I never allow myself to conform to someone else ideal of fashion that doesn't bring me fulfillment. This means I can say fashion to me is fulfillment. The day I wore this outfits I was feeling adventurous and hyped to go all out in the ‘Sporty-boy look’ style which I find interesting.  On a normal day I would have ditched the cap and sneakers for just a pair of simple flats. To tell you the actual truth I missed my tomboy days, days when I don’t bother about what I wear; I just throw in a top on a pair of jeans and sneaker and I’m set. Hello unique. I try to wear comfortable clothes when attending lectures in school, and comfortable for me is a pair of jean, a loose blouse, and flats. And of cause I still try to look glam by simply carrying a stylish bag. Preparing for classes every morning can be hectic, because it always involve me running around  and making sure I get ready on time, which means little time to do makeup and fuss over which outfit goes well with which. Moreover my school has a strict dress code, which I don’t allow to stop me from looking stylish and put together, because the world is my runway and I create for myself a new identity every time I choose the skinny jeans over the baggy sweats.
