5 Tips For Lazy Girl Chic

Hello unique today I’m sharing my tips for lazy girl chic for those days when you wake up feeling lazy for dress up, but you had to because its Sunday and Sundays mean looking your best to church.

  1.   Look for loose top with boxy structure and refine texture.

2. Wear A loose printed bottom; either skirt or pant to style.

3. A simple pump goes a long way to pull the look together.

4. Add a statement necklace or ear ring for more elegance.

  1. 5. Never forget to smile and walk with confident, but if you want to stay frowning please wear a dark shade. Haha!

And viola! You are ready to go out without feeling overdressed or under-dressed at the same time feeling free and breezy because of the loose ensembles. sticking to comfortable piece inspires you to want to dress more, and wearing loose on loose is always my number choice whenever i'm feeling too lazy to dress-up; I just stick to the tips above so 1 don't end up looking drab while wearing loose on loose.
So go try out your own lazy girl chic and remember to tag me on  Instagram

Default Style.

Hello unique, today I’m sharing my default style; that is, the style I always fall back on no matter the mood I’m in on a particular day.  My default style happens to be white and black, to be specific white tee on black jean with any accessories to match, it almost like a uniform for me because I believe you can never go wrong with this basic monochrome look, the key to this look is simplicity.  I mostly wear this look whenever I’m going out to uncharted territory or event, because everyone can actually relate with it.

By the way this look came out to play because I got an email invitation to a smoothie drink launch, which took place where I’ve never been before so I decided to style my white and black ensemble with my fav black lace flats,(which is very comfy by the way ), and my to go huge bag which add colour to this look and even better can accommodate my camera comfortably, because I hardly attend events without my camera.  There’s always a possibility of good location like this place for photo shoot.

Thank you Dleona/smoothieheaven for inviting me, I had a great time and you made a darn good smoothie, I’m still craving more by the way.

DIY Shirt Transformation.

Happy New Month great minds, today I’m sharing with you one of my recent DIY (Do It Yourself) shirt transformation project, it’s all about turning an old button down shirt into a trending blouse. I've always  wanted to do a DIY post like this for a while now,  but I couldn't because I had other commitments and its takes a lot of time and effort to put all this pics together, due to the fact that I had  to take snap of each process so you all can find it easy to reproduce.  I hope you guys have a good imagination because I’m teaching this DIY Project with pictures only; still don’t know how to operate the vid in my camera just yet, I’m not even sure I want to, too much stress. Haha!.

First of all for this project you will need a preloved shirt you own,  because this project is all about upcycling your already owned ensemble, its saves you the cost of buying a new outfits( that’s the Economist in me talking) haha. A scissors for cutting, a tape for measuring, an elastic band for the stretchy shoulder and a sewing machine, though the sewing machine saves time and energy you can also use needle and thread if you don’t have a sewing machine close by.

Step 2: measure where you want your shoulder to rest, the arm sleeve and the length of the blouse, I made mine 6, 13 and 20 respectively, and these figures will do for almost everyone.

Step 3: sew the part you cut out from the shirt length to the arm sleeve to form a bell shape. You don’t need to do any special thing to it; the bottom of every shirt comes with a wave like helm that makes it look like bell.

Step 4:  turn in a fold to round the top of the blouse, leave a space to pass throw the elastic band, but first put the elastic band round your shoulder first to make sure it fits, then use a safety pin to pass it through the small space you left still it get to the other end, then sew the two ends of the elastic band and sew the space you left on the fabric shut. ( ps: Ignore my snack, it keeps me company while I work)

Step 4: helm the bottom of the blouse and viola you are ready to rock out your new transform bell sleeve top.

Now for the before and after photos, wish is my favourite part of this post.

That’s it everyone, hope you've learnt enough to reproduce this DIY project..  Tag me on Instagram    when you do, I will love to see it. Thanks for dropping by, till my next post. Remember to share this post to your friends on social media. Don’t be stingy Lol; There is a share button down below. Peace.

The Rules Of Love.

Hello everyone , hope you all are doing great , today I’m writing a book review of my recent read, its titled the” Rules of love” by  Richard Templar. This book was lent to me by a friend of mine, and she hasn't even read it yet, but I’m sure she will enjoy getting an insight into the book before she reads it for herself. I will try to keep it as short as possible by stating the major points and tips.

First of all this book is all about how you should act when you’re looking for love and when you have found love. Love itself can be stressed, strained and tried; it’s how you react that defines true love.

I will leave you all with a few of my favorites points from the two section. The first section is about finding love.

Rules for finding love
= Be Yourself.
= You won’t be happy with a partner until you’re happy on your own.
= Relationship isn't about sex; don’t mistake lust for love.
= Get to know someone through all the season before making any major decisions.
= Don’t stay with someone who doesn't care.
= Don’t play games.

Relationship Rules (that is, if you have already found love). The second section.
= Allow your partner space to be themselves.
= Don’t parent your partner (they already have that).
= Our partners aren't perfect, nor are we, so a little more tolerance goes a long way.
= Put each other first; you can afford to ignore your needs, because your partner will be giving them priority.
= Don’t belittle your partner.
= Accept your differences and embrace what you have in common.
= Be generous to each other financially.
= Know when to listen and when to act.
= Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath.

That’s it dearies ,hope you've learnt one or two things like me from this book, because I will have to stop here. I think everybody should have this book as a handbook for a happy relationship not just with your spouse, but also with people around you. Thanks for dropping by and have a fun time applying these rules.

 Never Miss A Post.

Unique ways to style Ankara (part 2)

Hello ladies, I hope you all are ready for the part two of styling your Ankara ensembles(check out my previous post in case you missed the part 1), this time around I’m styling to solve two problems, for those who go to school like me that does not allow armless dress, you know what I mean, and for those that are tired of wearing that armless dress the same way all the time.  The best thing to do to that kind of Ankara dress is to wear something solid and classy inside that will not make you look tacky, one can easily get this styling wrong by wearing the wrong ensemble inside, the trick is to stick to a plain and solid colour from the Ankara; I picked white here because it can pull the look together without any distracting effect, please make sure you stay away from a printed shirt so you don’t become a eye sore to people around you. Haha! Just work with a plaint shirt with the colour from your Ankara dress and you are good to go and make people around you wonder if the shirt is part of the dress or not.

The weirdness in me just love this photo so much. It's so funny. Thanks again @Harry for this.
Believe me I had so many admiring eyes on me and so can yous too, just follow this few tips above and tag me on Instagram when you do because I would really love to see your version. Love you all. And thanks for dropping by till my next post.

Hope this inspired you for your next occasion; I will very much love to see your own version, tag me on  Instagram. Thanks for dropping by and see you on my next post. (I will be sharing another way of styling Ankara)
